Rules
for the 2017-2018 JBRL Winter Indoor Off-Road Electric Series: -Schedule:

Spt. 17.5 Buggy classes -QUAL
Points will be used at all rounds (best one (1) out of two (2) rounds) -All
17.5 & 13.5 motors must be ROAR approved and on the ROAR approved
list. Certain motors will be taken apart, inspected and sealed by the JBRL
staff at each round. Heat race winners and top 3 finishers in the “A”
mains will be inspected and sealed. -Certain
ROAR rules will be enforced at the discretion of the JBRL race director
& tech crew. -2S
LIPO’s only for all classes. -All
17.5 & 13.5 class batteries must be under 8.44V. -All
2wd Rookie vehicles must use a 17.5 motor. -No
timing or boost is allowed in the speed control for all 17.5 & 13.5
classes. Timing is allowed in the motor. -No
spoilers or wings will be allowed on the short course bodies in all short
course classes. -Awards
for top 3 in the "A" mains at each event. -Awards
for the top 5 at end of series. -Two
qualifiers and single main events at each event. -The
number of vehicles in a qualifying race or main event may vary depending
on the track/drivers stand size. -Best
3 races count, 1 throw out. -2
car bump up format. -All
1/10 scale "A" mains are 6 minute races. All lower mains and
qualifiers will be 5 minutes. -Racers
must attend 3 of 4 races to be eligible for end of series awards. -Top
3 finishers in 2wd Rookie & 2wd Spt. 17.5 Buggy at end of series must
move up to next higher class. -No
pre entries, registration the morning of the event, at the track. Some
events will have registration the day before. -Practice
from 6am to 8am. Racing begins @ 8:30am. Some rounds may have an adjusted
start time based on number of entries. The
JBRL awards you points for how well you finish in each main event race.
Points are awarded as follows: 1st
place = 100 points 2nd
place = 99 points 3rd
place = 98 points etc. 1
bonus point for top qualifying. 1
bonus point for each race attended. First
tie breaker will be your one (1) throw out round. Second
tie breaker will be your highest pointed round (including TQ point but NOT
attendance point). Third
tie breaker will be your second highest pointed round (including TQ point
but NOT attendance point). Fourth
tie breaker will be who had the most "A" main victories. Fifth
tie breaker will be who had the most 2nd place “A” main finishes, etc. The
racer with the most points in each class, when counting the best 3 out of
4 results, at the end of the season will be crowned the 2017-2018 JBRL
Winter Indoor Off-Road Electric Series champion. Will it be you?
